"The Flyin' Pig . . ." Configuration

Configuration

This configuration window is used to select the elements to be displayed each time you browse the "The Flyin' Pig . . ." webpage. The configuration is stored as a "cookie" (a restricted file on your computer), and referenced by the Flyin' Pig JavaScript program when the webpage is loaded.

Scroll down for notes on how to use this configuration page.

	Restores most recently saved values.
	Resets configuration to original defaults.
	Saves current values.

The configuration options are saved when you exit or refresh this webpage, and when additions are made to the Stock Symbol Tracking List.

You may exit this page by selecting the "Back" option on your browser, or by clicking on the flying pig in the upper left hand corner of this page.

Notes

Pulldown Menu Boxes

These menu boxes contain predefined links to various sites. Your browser will remember which link you used last and will display it in the menu box. To go to the site shown in the box, click on the "Go!" image. To go to another site listed in the pulldown menu box, click on the down arrow at the right of the menu box, and then click on the desired link. Your browser will then store this as the most recently used link, and will proceed to that site immediately.

Select which of these menu boxes are to be displayed by clicking the box to the left of the item on this configuration page. When the box is checked, the menu box is selected to be displayed. When the box is not checked, the corresponding menu box will not be displayed.

Text Links

When these are selected, text links will be displayed in the lower portion of the web page for all links associated with this page. If you want your browser to display these links, click on the box to the left of the item on this configuration page. When the box is checked, the text links are selected to be displayed. When the box is not checked, the text links will not be displayed.

Right Hand Column

These checkboxes allow for selecting any of five other display options. If you want your browser to display a corresponding option, click on the box to the left of the item. When the box is checked, the option is selected to be displayed. When the box is not checked, the corresponding option will not be displayed.

The two options available are:

A "Random Link" which is selected from the various links on the page, with a different link typically shown each time you load the web page.
The MarketWatch one-day image which tracks the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the current day.
